Beauty Review: Peter Thomas Roth Water Drench Hyaluronic Glow Serum

It's like three products in one—a moisturizer, glow enhancer, and wrinkle-reducer.

This post is sponsored by Peter Thomas Roth. As always, all thoughts and opinions are my own.

Hello, winter skincare routine ❄️

I have been using Peter Thomas Roth products for a while now, and am so excited about its new launch. Recently, I added the Water Drench Hyaluronic Glow Serum (available at Sephora) to my winter skincare routine.

Before trying out anything, I’m always curious about the brand’s origins. In this case, the founder and namesake of the brand was born into a heritage of skincare. His family owned and operated two spa resorts in Hungary in the late 19th and 20th centuries. He founded his brand in 1993 while searching for a solution to solve his personal skin care concerns: acne, and later, anti-aging.

I can’t remember the first time I came across Peter Thomas Roth products but I do recall several of the brand’s events in NYC. There was the Peptide 21 line launch at the Museum of Illusions and the Lashes to Die For Turbo Conditioning Lash Enhancer launch at the Moxy Hotel Times Square — both were so fun!

As for the common theme between all of the brand’s products? The focus on key ingredients, combining old-school remedies with modern technology.

What is the Peter Thomas Roth Water Drench Hyaluronic Glow Serum?

I keep a few of Peter Thomas Roth’s products on my regular skin routine. One of my favorites is the Water Drench Broad Spectrum SPF 45 Hyaluronic Cloud Moisturizer, so I’m especially interested to try this Water Drench Hyaluronic Glow Serum.

The goal of this product is to help treat:

  • Dullness
  • Dryness
  • Fine lines and wrinkles

Usually, I would say my skin is combination type, but lately, it’s been feeling surprisingly dry. Not sure if it’s from the air inside my 18th floor apartment with the heat blasting (I’m always freezing!) or from taking short walks outside in the chilly December air, or a mix of both. Either way, I was looking for a product to add to my winter skincare routine to boost hydration—this serum does that, and more.

What’s in it?

75% Hyaluronic Acid Complex gives skin that plump-looking dewiness.

3% HydraFence Triple-Action Technology boosts hydration for up to 120 hours.

Malachite and 5% Ceramide Complex to smooth the look of fine lines and wrinkles.

Why thePeter Thomas Roth Water Drench Hyaluronic Glow Serum Works For Me

The baby blue-colored formula is super lightweight, fragrance-free, blends in fast, and doesn’t feel greasy or sticky. The difference between this face serum and others I used is that you can visibly see results instantly. Not only does it moisturize my dry skin (and keep it feeling that way for five days), but it also gives it a dewy glow as if I just swiped a bit of highlighter on my cheeks.

It makes my skin appear plumper, smoother, and just feels refreshing. The results make me more motivated to continue applying every morning and night. It’s now officially part of my winter skincare routine, and I’ll most likely be using it year-round since now I can’t imagine not using it.

The steps of my skincare routine go like this: cleanser, toner, serum, eye cream, moisturizer, then SPF (even when I’m indoors). In the morning I skip cleanser and toner, and at night, I skip SPF. I go by the rule of layering on skincare products according to thickness so each one can absorb more effectively.

Overall, I’d say give the Peter Thomas Roth Water Drench Hyaluronic Glow Serum a try if you’re dealing with dry skin. It’s like getting three products in one (moisturizer, glow enhancer, and wrinkle-reducer).
