Have you ever noticed how perfumes can instantly take you back to a memory and change your mood?
Fragrances are like an invisible superpower that can shape your feelings. In this Charlotte Tilbury perfume review, I’ll go over this very idea with six distinct scents.
Like many of the brand’s other popular products, such as the Charlotte Tilbury Setting Spray (one of my faves!), this fragrance collection is a fresh take on a common product category. When this perfume collection launched, it had more than 10,000 people on the waitlist!
In this post, I’ll take you through each scent in the Charlotte Tilbury Fragrance Collection of Emotions and what makes each one unique.
Charlotte Tilbury Perfume Review: Fragrance Collection of Emotions
First, let’s dive into the science behind the scent.
Inspired by six emotions, you can simply spray on how you want to feel and let the emotion-boosting molecules do their thing.
The perfumes include Love Frequency, Joyphoria, More Sex, Calm Bliss, Cosmic Power, and Magic Energy.
Charlotte Tilbury worked with world leaders in fragrance, including a team of perfumers, Anne Flipo, Juliette Karagueuzoglou, and Dominique Ropion, to customize these specific scents.
She also worked closely with color theorists, numerologists, and symbologists. Together, they created a unique fragrance wardrobe based on plenty of research and testing.
Getting down to the details, the brand also leveraged the IFF SCENTCUBE™ algorithm, which analyzed over five billion data points to create ingredient combinations that work synergistically to enhance different facets of each emotion.
“I have always been enchanted by the olfactory magic of perfume, from the way that a scent can enamor a room of people to the glamour of glistening bottles on my mother, Patsy’s, dressing table,” says Charlotte Tilbury on her website.
She added, “Since I was 13, I have been fascinated by the magical ability of fragrance to unlock memories and emotions. Fragrance can transport you to another world full of fantasies and dreams! It can help transform the way you feel and can create the most magical aura around you.”
Staying true to the glamorous Charlotte Tilbury aesthetic, every 50 ml and 100 ml bottle is like a work of art in itself. The inspiration comes from 18th-century alchemy bottles, and the lids are an ode to Egyptian pyramids.

How does the Charlotte Tilbury Fragrance Collection of Emotions smell?
I tried the entire collection when it first launched in 2024, and I can say that each of the perfume names is right on point.
Spraying on each feels like a magic potion that makes me feel a certain way. And each one lasts up to 18 hours!
Sometimes, I wear these even while working from home and it transports me to another place mentally.
I also like to layer some of these to create different scent combinations based on the occasion and where I’m going.

What’s the best Charlotte Tilbury fragrance?
This all depends on your note preferences and how you want to feel.
In my opinion, the best Charlotte Tilbury fragrance is Love Frequency, aka a “love portal in a bottle”.
I just love the scent profile — with notes of pink pepper, opulent rose, and velvety cashmere wood, it just feels comforting and beautiful. A little bit goes a long way.
“Love is all you need, and Love Frequency gives you that incredible feeling of being loved and being in love,” says Tilbury in her Instagram post. “I bottled the euphoric, all-encompassing, tender feeling that spans through all the different types of love. It’s romantic love, it’s self-love, it’s universal love.”
How much do Charlotte Tilbury fragrances cost?
The prices of the Charlotte Tilbury Fragrance Collection of Emotions are:
- $150 (100 ml)
- $100 (50 ml)
- $25 (10ml travel size)
- $30 (Discovery Set 6 x 1.5 ml)

Overall, fragrances are more than just about smelling good. Charlotte Tilbury’s perfumes are designed to make you feel something, spark a conversation, and create new memories.
What does Charlotte Tilbury Scent of a Dream smell like?
The Charlotte Tilbury Fragrance of Emotions isn’t the brand’s first fragrance collection. Back in August 2016, Scent of a Dream launched, and I remember constantly spritzing it on in a diamond-shaped bottle. It doubled as a work of art on my vanity!
Scent of a Dream smells like an uplifting blend of citrus and intoxicating florals, infused with Charlotte Tilbury’s “magic molecules”.
- The top notes (lemon, peach, black pepper, saffron, mandarin, and bergamot) develop over 15 minutes.
- The heart notes (tuberose, jasmine, frankincense, hedione, violet muguet, orange flower, rose oil, tea rose, green ivy, and magnolia) resonate over 5 hours.
- The base notes (fire tree, Iso E Super, patchouli, ambroxan precious woods, cistus, amber, castoreum, musks) are activated by body heat and last up to 9 hours.
Although Scent of a Dream is now discontinued, you can choose from the six Charlotte Tilbury perfumes above to match your mood of the day.
The closest fragrance, although different, from Charlotte Tilbury fragrances that resembles Scent of a Dream is Love Frequency since it also has a warm floral scent.
In 2025, the brand also launched the Star Confidence new perfume with notes of blackcurrant absolute, jasmine accord, and oakmoss absolute.
