Two iconic names are coming together for a new artistic collab. We’re talking about accessory brand Lele Sadoughi and The Metropolitan Museum of Art.
Inspired by renowned artworks in The Met, Lisa ‘Lele’ Sadoughi (founder and chief creative officer of her brand) created a new whimsical 33-piece collection. The pieces made for women and kids include hair accessories, jewelry, handbags, and more — each priced between $55 to $295.

The introductory range — called the Masterpiece Collection (Volume 1) — is an ode to beloved works by Vincent van Gogh, Claude Monet, Edgar Degas, Gustav Klimt, and Pierre-Auguste Renoir.
A couple of years ago, I went to the Lele Sadoughi store opening event in West Village, New York City, and being there felt like stepping inside a jewelry box. Imagine ornate headbands, handbags, earrings, and bracelets all around. That feeling of joy is infused in every one of the brand’s items that share a playful aesthetic. It’s a reminder to have fun when getting dressed.
This collab with The Met carries that mentality with an artful take.
“I believe The Met is the most iconic and beloved New York art institution,” Sadoughi says in a press release. “I have been fortunate to roam the hallways for decades, and most recently, have taken my kids to visit my favorite pieces of art.” She adds, “I always find myself wandering into the galleries that house the nineteenth-century European paintings.”

Sadoughi, who has always done a lot of painting, photography, and drawing herself, noted, “I feel honored to have had the opportunity to interpret masterpieces into wearable, three-dimensional art.”
Now, you can shop everything from hand-enameled, sculptural water lily earrings to hand-sewn silk floral belts and bags. There’s also screen-printed headbands with still-life images, famed ballerinas, and skylines with hand-sewn pearl cloud formations and clusters of crystals.
“I believe we have created our most collectible collection to date,” says Sadoughi.

And the feeling is mutual when it comes to The Met.
Josh Romm, head of global licensing and partnerships at The Met noted in a press release, “Lele’s passion for The Met is evident in every aspect of the project, and her carefully chosen embellishments call attention to the details that make the original works of art so beloved.”
He continued, “Her attention-grabbing designs are sure to spark conversation about 5,000 years of art and we look forward to exploring works across The Met’s 19 curatorial departments for future collections.”
The campaign photos include models sporting the pieces alongside artworks that inspired each design.
I love this dreamy hand-embellished bow barrette in a print based on Van Gogh’s Wheat Field with Cypresses. And this knotted headband inspired by Monet’s Bridge over a Pond of Water Lilies looks like something that could be straight out of Blair Waldorf’s collection 😊
