As one of the most anticipated sales every year, it officially starts on July 15 and there’s something for everyone across women’s, men’s, children’s, and home discounted for a limited time (prices go back up on August 5th).
When Does Nordstrom Anniversary Sale Start?
Cardmembers get early access based on the following tiers:
- Icons: July 9-14
- Ambassadors: July 10-14
- Influencers: July 11-14
- Everyone: July 15 through August 4

What Makes Nordstrom Special
Nordstrom has a spot in my heart since it was one of my first retail jobs. Back in high school, I was part of the store’s fashion board in their BP. (juniors’ clothes and accessories) department which led to working there as a sales associate throughout college during summer and winter breaks.
During one semester break, I came back to my job at the store and they found that the number of people working in the BP. department was at capacity. So, I was transferred downstairs to men’s furnishings. At first, I was so sad about the change but ended up enjoying it — I made new friends, earned a higher commission, and learned a lot about menswear. That experience is still something I carry with me today as a reminder to stay open-minded.
Also, working at Nordstrom let me see that the store stays true to its mission of giving customers the best shopping experience. And after every sale, we would personally walk around the counter to hand off that signature silver bag.
Their website makes it more convenient to shop and you can quickly scroll between items in every department. This year, items from brands including L’AGENCE, Rebecca Minkoff, Charlotte Tilbury, Jo Malone, T3, Voluspa, and more, will be marked down for the anniversary sale.
In past years, I’ve seen things sell out FAST — especially in specific sizes — so it’s best to add your favorite sale items to your cart now (it’s all live) and just hit check out when the sale starts.

When Is The Nordstrom Anniversary Sale 2024?
Nordy’s biggest and most popular event of the year starts on various days according to tiers.
Officially, the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale 2024 begins on July 15 and ends on August 4.
Cardmembers get early access (Icons can start shopping the sale on July 9, Ambassadors on July 10, and Influencers on July 11).
Does Nordstrom Anniversary Sale Items Sell Out?
Getting first dibs on the early sale dates gives you a lot more options. In my experience of working and shopping the sale, I’ve seen items sell out quickly! Especially particular sizes and popular pieces like classic gold earrings and it handbags, like this adorable Longchamp number for under $100.
If you like an item, it’s best to shop it early when it’s on sale before it’s gone. Once August 4th is over, prices go back up.
What Is the Difference Between The Nordstrom Anniversary Sale and Half-Yearly Sale?
When Nordstrom has a sale, it’s a pretty big deal since it’s rare. The store is known for their Anniversary Sale, which is their biggest sale of the year that happens once every summer. Their Half-Yearly Sale happens twice a year (in December to early January after the holidays) and in May (around the time of Memorial Day). Savings for the Half-Yearly Sale are not as steep as the Anniversary Sale but you can still find some great discounts!
