Who went out last night in NYC for FNO?! If you did, please share your fashion adventures here. Yesterday was another crazy long but fun eighteen-hour day for me. After a day of work, I ran home to get ready for the kick off to NYFW. But knowing the busy streets of New York, plans always change! I was aiming to go to a number of events and ended up spending my whole night downtown. First, I went down to the Meatpacking District where Pop Chips was sponsoring a circus-like event, then walked over to Giorgio Armani, where a new collection of glasses was being shown. Marketing was apparent everywhere throughout the night—companies had the perfect opportunity to show the best of themselves through one big fashion event.
At Armani, they handed out oversized black glasses frames that were fun and cute for taking pictures with friends. The photographers took polaroids of all the guests, attached them to the back of chic black leather notebooks and gave them out in shopping bags. They were called the “Frames of Life”. How adorable is that? I went to Hotel Gansevoort then headed to Washington Street followed by Soho, but by then it was 11pm and stores were closed. The one thing I would change is, since the city never sleeps, why should stores? Well, at least for the night!
